DMCC-Canada (an affiliation of DMDI) was formed in April- 2016 with a vision to preserve the Malay culture and heritage, to foster leadership and unite the Malays from around the world in North America. The Malay Muslim Community forms a majority of the DMCC-Canada. The Malay community in Canada comes from the various Malay Archipelago countries:

  • Malaysia
  • Singapore
  • Brunei
  • Indonesia
  • Philippines
  • and many more...

 

DMCC Canada works together with a full determination that Malay Culture and heritage is preserved, and continues to exist eternally as a nation of legacy for centuries to come in the West. From the lineage of Malay, Muslims set foot and progress in this land of Canada. Full of determination to observe and fulfill Islam’s requisition, while steadfast in Malay Culture and mannerism that is cultivated and genteel.

For many whatever reason it may be, the Malay Muslims share a common vision to uphold the Malay language, culture, and religion.

DMDI Canada secretariat (DMCC) Launching

Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam (DMDI) was established in 2000 as a resolution of the 1st Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam convention, chaired by YB Senator Tan Sri Hj Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam acting as President of DMDI. It is an organization of the Melaka Government to promote unity and solidarity among the Malay-Muslim, and at the same time to promote cooperation in all aspects of development among the Malay-Muslim people with other nations in the world.

DMDI is the brainchild of Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam after seeing the importance of an effective mechanism to generate enthusiasm among Malay-Muslims around the world to excel in key development areas such as Economics, Information Technology and Education, for the sake of their well being and a free them from poverty.

 

 

 

 

 

CULTURE

Since culture is the root of a vibrant society, expressed in the many ways we tell our stories, celebrate, remember the past, entertain ourselves, and imagine the future. Our cultural creative expression will helps to define who we are and helps us see the world through the eyes of others. In children and youth, participation in culture will helps to develop thinking skills, builds self-esteem, and improves resilience, all of which could enhance educational outcomes.

 

Objective

  • To preserve Malay culture and heritage
  • To unite the Malays-Muslims around the world;
  • To preserve space to the leaders of the Malay and Islamic world to discuss mutual interests on all areas of life such as economy, education, culture, social, science and technology;
  • To run projects and programs that are appropriate and mutually beneficial;
  • To extend assistance to Malays-Muslims who are in need of financial help, expertise, and other services;
  • To resurrect the majesty of the Malays-Muslims in the past to guide and motivate the future generations.

DMCC's vision is to generate enthusiasm among Malay-Muslims around the world to unite and to excel in key areas such as Economics, Socio-Cultural, Tourism, Culture, Religious, Science, Technology & Innovation, and Youth and Education for the welfare of humankind.
